Let me start off by saying that I'm not the "typical" Shakira fan. I say this because I don't particularly listen to pop music. Primarily, I listen to Death Metal and old-school Gangsta Rap. Bands like Autopsy, Blood Freak, and Incantation. Rappers like Brotha Lynch Hung, Three Six Mafia (their old stuff), and Celly Cel.

So why am I reviewing this album by Shakira, you ask?

I was absolutely infatuated with her voice when I first heard some songs on Laundry Service. I purchased that album, and loved every song on it but 1.

Laundry Service

This is a great CD if you enjoy listening to Shakira's music. I enjoyed the concert I went to back in September of 2007 and some of the songs she played are on this disk.

Shakira is the best dancer in the world. I've noticed that many women in show business are jealous of all the attention she gets. I know I'd do her. Good band behind her, particularly with percussion.

Once you hear it, you will be listening to it over & over again. It's a Latin-Afro fusion of music that's Awesome! Everything about this song is addictive ... I especially love, towards the end of the song when Zolani & Freshlyground have this "chant like" part in the song - Turn it up & your not only hearing but can actually "feel" the music ... its truly a collective combination of talented artists!
