Supa Dupa Fly

Supa Dupa Fly is not a party album, which is saying something given that Missy Elliott is the Queen of party hip-hop. Instead, this album has an intimate, down-tempo feel that I found very soothing and relaxing. Tracks like "Beep Me 911" and "Friendly Skies" have a transportive, daydreaming feel to them. This album is all about the beats n' bass (Timbaland) and Missy's vocals (rapping and singing) so it sounds minimalistic at times, but I think that's what gives the album its signature moody and ambiguous sound.

Da Real World

This album is almost flawless and in my eyes, it is a hip hop classic. It is Missy's best album, with Under Construction in a very close second place.

Timbaland's production on here is untouchable, even to this day. Unlike almost every other rap song out there, these songs aren't just the same loop repeated over and over again... they have movements. They unravel as the song moves on. This album, which spans over an hour, does not get boring for even one moment. Since Missy hadn't fully developed her flow at this point, she smartly made the album half singing, half rapping.

I Want You Back [UK CD]

As this is the 'debut' solo spice recording it was always going to be heavily scrutinised. Melanie B rises to the challenge (with the support of Missy Misdemeanour Elliott) admirably. A strong, sleek song with a real American R'n'B vibe - plus a dash of spice thrown in. From the soundtrack to "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" this song should win over Spice critics who claim them to be talentless. Melanie handles the song with required sassiness which could enable this track to be US r'n'b hit (it has already reached #1 in the UK).

Twice As Nice Presents Urban Flavas 2003

De first CD was ace! U could move, groove and get down to some real beauties eg. Work It and My Neck My Back (Lick It)
Rock The Party has to be an all time hit for de car .... turn it up loud!!!

Must admit didn't feel as much luv for de second CD.... but not bad warm-up for nite out.
