I love Nirvana. Music off this set NEVER (ok, extremely rarely) gets listened to. Buy it if you love Nirvana and are a completist only - else, pretty much everything else. Could be a good gift for someone if they are fully into em and have everything else though.

Nirvana - Live! Tonight! Sold Out!

For a band that arguably had just two big hits, these people are pretty selfish. Selfish
enough to deprive the fans of their two biggest hits a decent live version of their
two biggest hits.

Who but a fan of those songs would pay $20 for a DVD, only
to receive the slap in the face of not one, but TWO parody versions of Smells Like
Teen Spirit in it, a third parody of Come As You Are, and no further reference
to those songs?

What gives? The video is supposed to be a live documentation of .

Priest They Called Him

If your a fan of Burroughs you will want to hear this at least once. Personally, I think with Burroughs, spoken word is the only way to go. He could read the grocery supplement from the Sunday paper and I would be enthralled.

However, this disc is painfully short... something like 9 minutes 20 seconds .

Cobain seems to be added as an afterthought. The fact that it's Kurt Cobain generating all that feedback is irrelevant. There's nothing noteworthy or distinct about the sounds he's making.

Kurt Cobain: About a Son

i bought this LP recently at an old record store in atlanta. having been a fan of nirvana and seeing/enjoying the documentary of which this score comes from, i did not hesitate to pick this up. the music on this LP is beautifully composed and performed. steve fisk and benjamin gibbard do a spectacular job with this, bringing moving feeling to the visuals and audio interviews of the documentary.

this is limited to 2000 hand-numbered copies, from what i understand, so if you are thinking about purchasing it, do so quickly before they run out and start selling on ebay for twice the price.
