An American Prayer

Jim Morrison's poetry can obviously seem pretty ridiculous, but this album rules. Morrison was not by any means a poet in the traditional literary sense; to consider him as such is really unfair and inappropriate. As the lead singer of a rock band he was more of a performance artist and that's reflected here. His voice and the instrumentation work very well together to create a vivid, unique sonic journey (as cheesy as that sounds, it's the only way I can describe this album). It's a necessary experience for any true music fan.

The Lost Interview Tapes Featuring Jim Morrison, Vol. 1

Wow at long last I have both volumes of these long lost interviews thanks to Bright midnight records and Amazon, Jimbo sure was an intelligent young man, even though I'm 21 years older than he was at his death I still can't get over how insightful and mature he was,and he was only about 22 in the first interview.
Also just as important is the fact that I paid a hell of a lot less for it through Amazon, compared to some of the so called import record stores in Australia, and lets not mention the wait for them to get it in, even after you have ordered it, Amazon was fast as!!! Love it!
