"It's all about progression." These are a few of the telling lyrics in the misunderstood masterpiece called "On to the Next One." Jay-Z is all about progression, as he should be. Some reviewers here have mentioned that Hov has evolved both as a human being and an artist. Very true. From his humble beginnings in the Marcy Projects (I'm from the Bronx-Mitchell Houses represent!) To gold Rolexes. To platinum records and Rolexes. The man is, on this album, detailing his progression. Not only that, but he's giving Hip-hop a blueprint for its survival.

The Blueprint

First I will rate Jay-Z's The Blueprint
-The Blueprint has great beats,soul samples,and many memorable trakcs such as "Girls Girls Girls","Jigga That N***a Jigga","H to the Izzo","Song Cry",and the lyrical bomb Renegade feat. Eminem. Must have Classic Album from Jay-Z & Roc-A-Fella.
-The Blueprint 2:The Gift & The Curse is somewhat of mixed bag and im a advent Jay-Z fan.The Blueprint 2 tried to bring many different things to the table.
1)The Disc 1 - The Gift i said at first is the best out of the two,but thats not at all true.

The Black Album

I have to admit when I first heard this album I was blown away. I still have my same copy with the black disc. I will say that this album is a more commercial version of Reasonable Doubt. Even though it has a more commercial feel to it, its still an excellent album. This was slated to be Jay-Z's last album so I guess he wanted to go out with a bang and The Black Album does just that. It's similar to Reasonable Doubt in that he has some very personal songs on it like December 4th (great song) and Lucifer (a personal favorite of mine).

Vol. 2, Hard Knock Life

To me this was the Best he ever did .
I can put this album on and sing the entire thing.
It stands the test of time over all his other music
