Hap Palmer: [ Main ] | [ Videos ]
I was given this DVD as a gift for my baby shower. My 'baby' is now 2 1/2 and she still LOVES this dvd. I put it on and she doesn't move for the entire time it is on. This dvd is 20 years old and it shows in what the people are wearing but little ones don't care. They just love it! I would highly recommmend this.
I purchased this product for my Kindergarten Students. This CD was originally made in 1969. You can certainly tell that this compilation is over 30 years old; many of the songs are dull and would be unappealing to today's youngsters. Still, there are a couple of really catchy action songs that are great fun. One involves colours and listening skills and the other involves actions. I am so glad I bought it. My students love the "Colour" song and so do I.
Tracks:
1. Colors
2. Put Your Hands Up In The Air
3. The Elephant
4. The Number March
5. Marching Around The Alphabet
6. Growing
7. This Is The Way We Get Up In The Morning
8. Birds
9. What Are You Wearing?
10. What Is Your Name?

Ok, to begin with I had no idea who Hap was. I just knew that I didn't want my triplets hooked on broadcast TV stuff that was full of marketing, commercials, etc. So we ordered BabyFirstTV (kinda like HBO for babies) and during the programming they would show these videos. It didn't take long for me to notice that my kids were MESMERIZED by Palmer's music videos. I quickly recognized the prints and hairstyles from my own childhood (80's kid) and went on a search until I found the DVD's here. The kids LOVED them and now that they are almost two they actually ask for them by name.
Hap Palmer
Strange, scary, and not musical at all. The images are scary - grandmas flying through the air - baby cribs under water surrounded by giant fish looking like they'll eat the babies. Music/songs are completely un-tuneful and instantly forgetful. Images have little if anything to do with the songs. I want my money back on this one.
