Lone Rhino/Twang Bar King

First I like both of Belew's solo albums but this isn't the disc to buy when it comes to "Twang Bar King". Along with Richard Thompson's "Across a Crowded Room" this has got to be one of the worst reissues put out. While the highlights of both albums earn a solid four or five stars, the sound quality on "Twang Bar King" sounds like it was played through speakers and recorded again for this master. My guess is that they used the wrong (the vinyl)master vs. the new remaster created for the Japanese reissue.

The Power to Believe

This Crimson was the strongest since Three of a Perfect. Every song is classic Crimson. I hope there is another cd soon,because these guys,namely Fripp,wrote the book on art music and progressive music.Anybody who is anything in art rock knows that Crimson is the best at their style of music,hands down

King Crimson: Deja Vroom

King Crimson, Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Trey Gunn
If you like King Crimson, you'll like the video. There are two aspects - the band's performance and the video production. The performance is unmistakably Crimson. They're tight and loose at the same time, and seemingly all having a blast except for the stoick Fripp, who's probably having fun in his own universe. Great drumming and playing by all the members, as expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

I was a little disappointed that the format, one in which you can isolate the camera on a single player, was limited to only a few songs.

Space Groove

Back in the beginnng of King Crimson, jazz was an important element in the band's interpretation of it's music. Jazz-rock was heavily infused into the original (1969-1974) KC sound. The name given to impromptu moments was 'improv' or improvisations, this continuing into the 1994-1996 six man group. After this group 'fractalized', the one known as Project Two created this work of jazz improv, in the studio. It is not typical KC, and should be considered a form of jazz. As a jazz listener I can appreciate the efforts of Fripp-Belew-Gunn in stretching the boundries of experimental sound.
