50 Cent music

Before I Self Destruct (CD + DVD)

I was so excited to listen to 50 Cent's "Before I Self Destruct" because I had just seen his movie, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" and listening to a lot of his music because my iPod's shuffle mode loves to surprise me with 50 Cent songs. You may think that I was let down because I gave this LP 3 stars and while I was expecting more, I still like the release as a whole. What I dislike most about 50 is that he will not branch out and work with other producers. I am not a fan of Dr. Dre's beats. I realize that he and Dre are close friends and that 50 is in his comfort zone working with him, but his music could be so much better if he worked with a better producer.

The Massacre

I know it's a little late to be reviewing such an old and known product but i'm trying to catch up my review's, so here it is. Now I can't lie, I've been a fan since the mixtape day's when they we're nobody's. Now they do have skill's and are good rapper's. The problem they have is over saturation, if you put out to much product in just a few year's your gonna run outta thing's to rap about. Now by the time this CD came out 50 Cent already had over 15 CD's worth of material out there including GRODT.

Like everyone else, I agree that the lyrics in this album are crap but that the beats are great. Those of you not worried about lyrics should not hesitate to buy this album because it is definatly a lot of fun. Has one of my all time favorite songs, Peep Show.

I can see why Eminem and Dr. Dre signed 50 after listening to this CD. His style is so powerful and inspirational.
