Republicans blamed Bill Clinton for 9/11, saying he cut the military and weakened the intelligence community. It is just as valid to say the Republicans weakened the country by impeaching Clinton and trying to destroy his presidency. We have reached a point where each party puts itself ahead of the country. Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, came on television and praised the Democrats for their greatness. Problem is, we can not have a democracy without two great parties. Reflecting on the Clinton presidency, it is hard to think of anything he did.

Slim and definitely not sine ira et studio, but if you read nothing but this and Primary Colors you'll learn all you need to know about the Clintons. In fact don't bother with Hills and Bills memoirs: too long, too tedious and those folks can't write. Joe Klein can.

White House Chef: Eleven Years, Two Presidents, One Kitchen

The book was very enlightening and entertaining. I learned quite abit about the ins and outs of the White House. I was also impressed with the passion and manner of writing. I was even disappointed when I turned the last page.... I just wanted more. I would recommend this book to history lovers and cooks....
