Seventh Son

On this album you can hear Sly & The Family Stone in their very early development. Recording dates are fairly unknown but recording's made are of many songs never released before, recorded by Sly Stone at Autumn Records, and thereabouts. Autumn's release selection meant that it stockpiled more masters than it actually released. These are songs recorded from 1963 to 1966, some never even seeing the light of day until now. Packed in a beautiful digipak cover with previously unseen pictures of the family.

High on You

This album may not rank up there with "Stand or Fresh, but it's still vintage Sly. The grooves on this album was funky and hittin' on all cylinders. It's still a must have for Sly Stone fans. I'm glad to have finally gotten it on cd.
