50th Anniversary Kind of Blue

I have 3 versions of "Kind Of Blue." I have the MD version, the old Columbia Masterpiece remaster, and the newly Columbia remaster with added alternate takes. I think something like this is a huge waste of money even from a collector's standpoint. If you didn't have "Kind Of Blue," then I can see something like this being a good investment, but take it from a pure jazz collector like myself, it's not worth $70. It's worth maybe $25 or $30. I'm disappointed that Columbia continues to put this album out.

There are just certain times after midnight that nothing else will do but a Miles and Coltrane mixer. Like scotch and soda, gin and tonic, vodka and cranberry, these two just glide together. Put some ice in the glass, mix yourself a cocktail, sit back with a companion, or by your lonesome and let the chords and groove chase your early morning blues out the door! The only glaring bump in the buzz is that their wonderfully rendered "My Funny Valentine" is not on this compilation. This is nonetheless all good/.
