Valleys Of Neptune

Nothing recorded today compares to the musical genius of Jimi Hendrix. That's why this will probably be the best blues/rock album of the year.
I think that this album shows some artistic direction that is not present on any other Hendrix album. Jimi plays around with little riffs and rhythms that I haven't heard before on any of his other studio recordings (listen closely fans). Mitch Mitchell is at his absolute best. The recording/production quality is some of the best I've heard from this era.

Are You Experienced CD/DVD

Just bought 2010 vinyl version Are You Experienced (Vinyl) of the same album - unbelievable sound! Significantly better than original vinyl edition and 97 CD edition. Then I thought - I must try the 2010 CD if 2010 vinyl sounds so fantastic. Well... as most of the reviewers here I do not hear difference from 97 CD.

Electric Ladyland CD/DVD

Three opportunities that were missed when issuing these 2010 remasters:

1) Newly remastering the catalog with the latest technology.

2) Including bonus material: demos, alternate mixes and unreleased live versions of the studio cuts on a second disc (or at the end of a single disc).

3) Offering a high-resolution dvd audio version of the album as the second disc instead of a dvd you'll probably only watch once.

The only bonus we get is a very short video where Eddie Kramer skims over alternate mixes of the studio cuts, assuring us that they are fascinating - too bad we don't get to hear them as bonus cuts.

Axis Bold As Love CD/DVD

This is great remaster of Jimi's "Axis Bold As Love". Plus it includes a 36 page booklet and mini documantary DVD too! A great deal for the $ IMO! RIP Jimi, Noel and Mitch, we miss ya.
