I originally bought this CD for the song Hallelujah, that was on the final episode of ER. I found that so many of the other tracks were easy to listen to and I enjoyed the entire CD. Funny that I never heard of this singer/song writter before.

Grace-Around The World Deluxe Edition (CD/DVD+DVD Documentary Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley)

This was such a great video. The insight into his being was far greater than I expected. The music was amazing of course. Not knowing who this person was prior to watching I feel deeply rewarded and enriched.

I gotta cop to the fact that I became a Jeff fan after his death. For whatever reason his music went right under my nose back in 1994-95. I picked up copies of Grace and Sketches in 1999 and immediately bought this release on VHS the following year. I consider this to be the ultimate Jeff Buckley - warts and all. There's some beautiful stuff here, including an unreleased gem called "What Will You Say". I also have the DVD copy and you know I have to say, my VHS version actually sounds better. Does anyone else notice this? To my ears, the guitars get cut out in the DVD copy where you hear mostly Jeff, bass and drums.

Grace -Around the World (CD/DVD)

When I saw this advertized as "coming soon", let me just say I was highly skeptical that this simply would be another attempt by Columbia Records to squeeze just yet another penny out of the legacy of Jeff Buckley. But when I saw the song listing, I just had pick this up. Boy, am I glad I did.

The DVD (118 min.) first brings a "Main Program" consisting of the 10 songs found on the Grace album (but interestingly, presented in a different running order), assembled mostly from TV appearances all over the world, but also a couple of actual concert appearances (New Orleans; Belfast).
