I Got the Feelin': James Brown in the 60's

This isn't the best DVD. in fact the front cover is very misleading. The picture on the front cover is the concert I wanted to see, and that concert isn't apart of the package. I pretty upset as I am sure most people are since there are alot of used copies for sale and the DVD has only been out a couple months.

Set list looks good...but the performance is surprisingly limited. After watching this several times, I've forced myself to enjoy it more. After the death of Mr. Brown, I hold it as a great memory from when I saw him last February.

James Brown is simply not into this show. He's in a rush to get outta there and it shows. He rushes through every song. The ballads are simply him singing about 20-30 seconds until he motions to his band to move on to the next song. Songs where you can't wait to see and hear like "I Feel Good" and "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" are shamelessly too short.

Funky Good Time: The Anthology

This is a fantastic compilation!
However, it is worth buying just for the extended version of "MORE PEAS"!
This is my all time favorite James Brown song. Once the groove comes down, there is no escape!
It just keeps getting better and better as the song goes on!
"Sausage D, New York D, Molasses D". UGH!!! FUNKY!!!
