The Art of Solo Ukulele

This remarkable CD features four of the finest Hawaiian virtuosos playing pure solo ukulele. Pure Heart

This album was the debut recording for the young group known as Pure Heart. The members of the group were: Jake Shimabukuro, Jon Yasamoto, and Lopaka Colon. They were an instant success in Hawaii. And, their first effort was rewarded with four Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in 1999 for Most Promising Artist, Album of the Year, Island Contemporary Album of the Year, and Favorite Entertainer of the Year! The group only made two more albums before disbanding. Jake Shimabukuro has gone on to a very successful solo career and is now known as a ukulele virtuoso all over the world!
