The Best of Chet Baker Sings

I first heard Chet singing in a documentary about him, got entranced by his voice and phrasing and decided to buy this cd. I got what I wanted, even a bit too much. To my taste the cd is overloaded with sad ballads, so that by the time you hear the last song the magic of Chet's voice starts to dissipate into the feeling of utter coolness and chagrin, so you just want to get up and change the track. But still all the favorites are there, they just need to be taken one by one,that would make them sound so much more special and unique.

Not much to say, these songs, sometimes reedited by Chet himself, is ointment for the soul.
Oké. I am a bit sentimental, but it sometimes even yerk tears to my eyes, The fragile sound of his voice is just wat affects me.
Oké, standard songs, but so unstandard performed.
Happy, I found this CD.
