Bram Stoker's Dracula [Blu-ray]

With all of the vampire craze going on lately, it's refreshing to go back and watch this to see where a lot of the 'lore' came from (not this movie, per se, but from Bram Stoker's story). A huge change I noticed right away was the sound quality: whenever this movie gets played on tv or payper view, or whatever, the sound is okay, but lacking. This is something that one would not notice had you never seen this movie on DVD. Not sure if the producers/mixers went back and 'remastered' the sound, but everything about the sound is better! All the little nuances and subtleties that I never heard before are there! The picture quality is good--this movie was made almost 20 yrs ago, so don't expect picture quality like Lord of The Rings.

Edward Scissorhands (Widescreen Anniversary Edition)

Edward Scissor Hands is by far my favorite love story ever to be told. It is genuine and heart touching. A man that has scissors for hands (standing out from society for his oddness) is exposed to the town that was underneath the castle he lived for so many lonely years. You can assimilate this story in so many ways, being different from the rest and falling in love with a common girl, in which a relationship of that nature would have been disgustingly disapproved by civilization.

I was only 7 years old when this movie came out and yet I always felt it had touched me and exactly understood the main reason for this film being still at such young age.

The Alien Quadrilogy is a massive 9 disc set that would make any Alien fan require a fresh set of underwear. Included in this baby are 2 versions of each film, the original/theatrical editions and the directors cut/special editions. Along with that, 5 of the 9 discs are packed to the brim with special features; a very conservative count would set the extras at probably over 12 hours, and thats not counting commentaries, trailers, or the LazerDisc features. Protecting all 9 discs is an amazing 10 sleeve digipak with wonderful, glossy art covering each sleeve that, when fully extended, reaches well over a yard long.
