2010: The Year We Make Contact [Blu-ray]

I expected an incredible looking and sounding movie on blu-ray but didn't see much of a difference from the DVD version which is also poor quality. The blu-ray video is very grainy. This is the poorest blu-ray transfer I've seen yet. This was a total waste of money. The same goes for 2001.

Jaws (30th Anniversary Edition)

Personly i like planet of dinosaurs a little more than jaws, but jaws will always be my second favriote horror movie ever (even if it is more of a thriller)

Plot- a giant 25 foot great white shark is invading a small town called Amity, now Cheif Martian Brody (Roy Scheider), Quint (Robert Shaw), and Matt Hooper (Richard Drefyuss)(Basiclly the Three R's) are sent out to stop the vicious beast (of course after eating some bathers)

Acting- this is probably the best acted horror film of the 70's (again in my opinion) .

The French Connection

I was 7 or 8 yrs old at that time during the actual screening of this version . I can`t understand the whole thing at the time, now I`m 49 yrs old and begun to wonder and understand that drug dealing is more dangerous b4 than at present, with a very dedicated cop as Gene Hackman, if only this film be shwn to the present police set up, only then they can ralize how the power of the will can turn or pin down criminals. I appreciate what Gene Hackman had portrayed in this film. I salute him. I wonder if any one of those police setup can match the integrity of police forces b4, dealing with narcotics syndicate.

Jaws 2

Lets face it, the original 'jaws' was never going to be topped by a long shot, but i reckon 'jaws 2' does a very good job at attempting it. Basically its an a-z adventure film just like the original, with Roy Scheider delivering another great performance! Its nowhere near as good as the original, but miles better than 'jaws 3' and 'jaws the revenge', definatley worth a watch!
