Forrest, mentally challenged, learns to run like a house afire to get away from his enemies and his demons.
Through a groundbreaking process we see Forrest's image merged with the real images on newsreel footage of the American presidents he meets.

My husband picked up this DVD on a whim, thinking I might like it, and he was right! "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" is a thoughtful, leisurely-paced drama about a woman who though anchored in a stable relationship in the present, is haunted by her turbulent past. Robin Wright Penn plays Pippa Lee, a sort of prim and proper wife to an aging yet indomitable older man, Herb (Alan Arkin). The couple have recently moved to a retirement community, though Herb, who has already suffered previous heart attacks, refuses to buckle down and lead a quiet life.

300 reviews already - I'll be brief. This movie is just bloody awful! Don't waste your money, for God's sake!

The graphics aren't impressive (the characters appear plastic and stiff), the characters aren't sympathetic or interesting (except, as the other reviewer said, for Grendel), and I can't figure out how the hell Zemeckis got so many big stars to be in it. Their acting ability doesn't overcome the lack of emotion in their characters' plastic faces, leaving me unable to connect with any of them.

The more the plot unfolds the more we learn that David is such a heroic and humbled man who just wants to find out why he is like this.
