I saw Bad Day At Black Rock With Spencer Tracy years ago and always wanted to see it again! Having the DVD is great! Now I can watch it anytime!
It is a great mystery/adventure out west! Good action and acting! Spencer Tracy at his best!Robert Ryan as one of the heavys is very good too!The scenery really sets the tone of the movie! Dry and bleak!

An excellent 1967 film, directed by John Boorman, which was years ahead of its time. This film was remade as Payback with Mel Gibson, which isn't as good as the original with Lee Marvin. High-quality DVD.

Cat Ballou

I worked my way through college in the sixties as a projectionist in a movie theater, saw hundreds of movies multiple times, and consequently became rather critical of their quality. Most movies couldn't hold my interest for even one viewing; Cat Ballou was the exception. This movie is well written, well cast, well acted and well directed. Lee Marvin was amazing. And how do you get a horse to lean against a building with its legs crossed? Cat Ballou sets the standard by which others should be judged.
