Interview with the Vampire [Blu-ray]

If you are considering buying this wonderful film adaptation of Anne Rice novel on Blu-Ray, don't bother. There is no evidence of up scaling, added features, "making of" documentaries, interviews with a cast...nothing. I think my DVD version looks better. The film is one of the best vampire movies ever made. Tom Cruise is dead on in his portrayal of Lestat, and Kirsten Dunst's portrayal of Claudia is delicious. She steals almost every scene she is in.

Skip the Blu-Ray and get the DVD if you don't already own it.

I love this movie ever since i was a kid, no complaints at all except for the dvd it self. it came in the mail and the cover was crease.. bummer i have like terrible o.c.d. about that and there were some stain spots on it too. but i dint let that bother me, one thing that did bother me was towards the end of the dvd it became a little scratchy, and i did notice a few glitches that were not fixed... but i still love it... hope it last me years

This is an almost a perfect movie for me.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was directed by Michel Gondry who also wrote it along with Charlie Kaufman and Pierre Bismuth. I want to live in this man's head for a day, his brilliance and creativity and ingenuity with limited resources was inspiring and gripping to say the least. This is a different kind of love story, beginning at the end and ending at the beginning.

I took my girls to see this heartwarming early 1990's remake of Little Women at the movie theater. I remember thinking the whole experience was a special gift to moms and daughters!
We bring out the DVD out every year at Christmas and the soundtrack is a staple for our holiday music! Now to have the book and the DVD together in a gift set is especially sweet. Whatever changes made while transforming book to movie were done so subtly that the movie still gives great homage to Alcott's story of Jo and her sisters coming of age! My girls are now 21 and 30 and we still get together once a year at Christmas time to bake cookies, have some hot chocolate, and enjoy this beautiful film- and what fun it is to see Winona Ryder, Christian Bale and Kristen Dunst at such young ages! And as always, Susan Sarandon is tremendous as the wise and loving mother.
