I can't forgive attaching Austen's name to this shallow and one-dimensional movie.

There were bits of promise in it, but it was disjointed and flat. A serious of not well connected moments.

Worse was the way Prudie's husband (Riley on Buffy!) suddenly was assimilated at the end. HIGHLY improbable.

Running Scared

Hope there's more where this came from. What's the point of buying movies on DVD when they weren't made for digital display? This film relies on great comedic acting, and the VHS delivers.

The film...as if anyone reading this doesn't already know, a great '80s cop flick. Little overkill on the one liners, but so well delivered by Hines (RIP) and Crystal.

A great, fun movie.

The Tommyknockers

This is a favorite of mine, I loved the characters, the storyline, everything. The ending was sad though, Jimmy Smitts went thru all
that trouble to try and quit drinking and saving his girlfriend only
to end up sacrificing himself to rid the planet of the Tommyknockers.
Still,a very very good movie.

NYPD Blue - Season 2

This is a 6 disc set. My copy, when received, had problems. The first disc had dislocated from its place in the container, and the disc was damaged by the container's hard plastic center spool, making two of the episodes on it unplayable on my Panasonic equipment. This is a first for me, never happened before with any other set ordered from AMAZON. The cost of the set was so low, and since we had already seen the two episodes when first aired, we decided the matter was not worth pursuing. I do not hold Amazon at fault here, but the manufacturer, who might have foreseen this happening, and instead of the "book style" container, provided individual disc cases, as was done on later years of this series.
