"Taken" is a well made action flick and also a fantasy of revenge and redemption, starring Liam Neeson as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills. It's the kind of role that Harrison Ford might have done well with 10 or 15 years ago. Neeson is very good, but he doesn't have Ford's humor, and the script is mostly humorless, too.

Mills's ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen, Jean Grey in the X-Men franchise), dumped him ostensibly because Mills's CIA work kept him away from home, but she then managed to marry some very rich guy.

X2 was a 2003 movie it was a follow up to X Men I think they succeeded with a better movie the cast from the 1st movie comes back Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stuart, Ian McKellen Famke Janssen, Halle Berry dropped out of Gili to reprise her role smart lady lol. 2 newer characters are Nightcrawler played by Allen Cumming Colonel Willam Stryker played by Brian Cox. Plot is Nightcrawler goes to the White House tears @** through secret service gives the President a message Mutant Freedom. Professor X fearing a war has Jean Grey & Storm go to Boston & get Nightcrawler.

The formula is the classic; someone is being "alienated." Naturally someone wants to put a "bug" in your ear as to which the person(s) is/are. Time is running out to find out what the problem is and how to correct it. As always the first to go is the authorities.

All right you have seen it a million times and even the characters in the movie refer to "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956) [see my review] and "The Puppet Masters" (1994). However it is not the plot but the carrying out of the plot or action that makes the movie.
