I loved this movie it is every bit as good as the first if not better. A great adventure. a must see!

Apollo 13 (Widescreen 2-Disc Anniversary Edition)

Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise, Ed Harris
This is one of my all-time favorite movies, and for about a million reasons. But I'll just share a few.

Chances are good that you already know the basic premise: Three astronauts embark on a space mission to the moon, but technical complications not only jeopardize the mission, but their lives as well. Back on Earth, the Mission Control team based out of Houston work around the clock to get the astronauts home safely.

Based on real events (and mostly faithful, according to those who lived through them), the story does so many things right that most movies from the "disaster genre" or "rescue genre" to wrong.

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets [Blu-ray]

A History of Violence (New Line Platinum Series)

Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, Ed Harris, William Hurt, Ashton Holmes
WARNING: This film contains strong brutal violence, graphic sexuality/nudity, explicit language, and brief drug use.

In the film A History of Violence, director David Cronenberg (Videodrome and Crash) examines America's fascination with violence. At the same time, both compelling and disturbing, the film shows the way that violence affects the residents of a small town in the Midwest. Utilizing his sense of irony, as well as his cinematic ability to create suspense, Cronenberg focuses on the characters, their motivations, their actions, and their regrets.
