Bobby Lee DVD

Kingpin (Producer's Cut)

Yancey Arias, Brian Benben, Bobby Cannavale, Angela Alvarado, Shay Roundtree
King Pin is a violent take on the leaders if a mexican drug cartel. Alot here call it Mexican Sopranos and thats a fair analogy. This was the only season of the show and When you view it like I did over a couople of days You kinda wish there was more . The fact there wasnt means NBC gave up on this series before the audiences found it . It would of been better served on a cable station like HBO but NBC gave this one good actors and nice production values. Plot was good and full of violence and sex and of course Family ties.

The Kims of Comedy

Bobby Lee, Kevin Shea, Steve Byrne, Dr. Ken Jeong
As a Korean American, I thought I'd give this a go. Big mistake. With the possible exception of Steve Byrne, they were simply not very funny. It might have worked in an earlier era but filling your stage time with profanity and misogyny doesn't make you funny, just a bit pathetic.

What's up with that Dr. Ken? I saw him on the KoreAm awards, and see he's on all sorts of B movies now but he's simply not funny, just embarrassingly loud and persistent. Sort of like a Korean Borat only with no clever social commentary behind it.

Circle of Iron

Richard Moore (IV), David Carradine, Jeff Cooper, Christopher Lee, Roddy McDowall
There has not been a remake of this movie. This is the original... and the best martial arts movie ever made, next to "Enter the Dragon"... Yes, it would have been cool to see Bruce Lee in this movie, but the suits AGAIN used Carradine instead... first time was in Kung Fu the series. Regardless, this movie captures much of the spirit of Zen coupled with great martial arts action... and if you pay attention... you just might learn something. I studied under Joe Lewis once... great guy, also screwed by the "suits".

Undoing

Sung Kang, Kelly Hu, Tom Bower, Russell Wong, José Zuñiga
I was drawn to this film as I am a fan of Kelly Hu's and Russell Wong and found a very pleasant surprise in the talents of Sung Kang . I was not familiar with the works of Sung Kang even though he had been in several movies that I had seen. I will be looking for him in the future. This is a gritty caricature study made on a small budget by a very talented writer director Chris Chan Lee who got fine performances from the entire cast. I look forward to the future works of both Sung Kang and Chris Chan Lee.
