Heroes - Season Three

I was quite impressed with the first season of "Heroes," but a lot of what happens in the series makes you shake your head . . . and the shaking increases with each season.

Every time I've picked up the new season of "Heroes," I've had to go back to the NBC recap site to find out what exactly happened at the end of the previous season. This sort of thing never happens with other shows, but after nine or twelve months between season viewings of "Heroes," I've got to go back for a refresher.

A movie that borrows its theme from A hand that rocks the cradle, Disclosure and Fatal Attraction is a movie that stars Idris Elba, Beyonce and Ali Larter. Beyonce and Idris are a young couple who are in love and trouble comes in the form of obsessive Ali Larter as Lisa Sheridan who is a temp in Idris's office. She becomes obsessed with Idris and trouble ensues. It is up to the wife, to take matters in her hands.
I thought the movie was badly directed with no chemistry between Idris and Beyonce.

The only reason I purchased this DVD is because Kathy Bates is in the film, I knew nothing about it. But what an action packed adventure this turned out to be. The casting is excellent as well as the performances of all the actors involved. Having read several books about Jesse James as well as a biography of his mother, my first reaction was negative due to historical inaccuracies , but it was so action packed I couldn't stop watching. There are some wonderful `behind the scenes' in the bonus features that shouldn't be ignored.

Remembering that Final destination came out in 2000, it's easy to see how old the film looks - especially on blu-ray. But even more so, the dialogue, the some what hammy / cheesy acting and just how young the cast is makes you understand you are not watching an Oscar award winning film.

Final Destination is an above average thriller / horror flick that deals with a young man who has visions of death.
